Lace Knee Patches

My niece Carly came over a month a go with a pair of holey jeans and some lace. She said, "I want lace knee patches!" We made it happen.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was, and decided to "lace patch" a pair of my holey jeans as well! SO CUTE!

1. Turn your pants inside out.

2. Cut out a patch of lace larger than your pant rip.

3. Pin the lace to the jeans to prevent it from shifting.
Sew the lace around the pant rip.

4. Trip any excess lace, but keep a good 1/2 inch rim around the edge.

5. Turn your jeans right side out

6. Cut away any extra jean "strings" that come with ripped jeans -  so you can see the lace!

PRESTO!
You've now created lace patches for your favorite jeans you just can't get rid of!

Thanks for the idea Carly! Love you!
